Coming Soon: A New Submission Experience

Learn more about upcoming new submission functionality

In October 2026, 340B ESP is introducing a new claims submission experience. The enhanced experience will provide greater visibility into all claim types throughout the submission process, from initial file upload through post-submission validation.

What’s changing?

A new Claims Data module will house the existing Pharmacy Submissions and Medical Submissions modules, along with two new modules, Pharmacy + Encounter Submissions and Medical + Encounter Submissions, that introduce support for encounter data submissions.

The new submission experience introduces several enhancements across the claims submission workflow, including a new Submission Summary, improved claim review and reporting, and a redesigned Submission Receipt for reviewing post-submission results.

New Claims Data Module

A new Claims Data module will bring all claims submission options into one location. The module will house the existing Pharmacy Submissions and Medical Submissions modules, along with two new options, Pharmacy + Encounter Submissions and Medical + Encounter Submissions, that introduce support for encounter data submissions.

The new encounter data submission options will allow users to submit additional encounter-level information alongside pharmacy and medical claims, expanding the types of data supported in 340B ESP.

Submission Summary

A new Submission Summary will provide a centralized view of the claims identified within uploaded files before submission, including key file metrics, submission status, and a breakout of the covered entities in each file.

Users will also have access to additional tools for reviewing claims before submission, including:

  • File-level metrics and status information to quickly understand what was identified within each uploaded file.

  • Covered entity details showing which entities are represented in the submission.

  • Invalid NDC reports to identify claims containing NDCs that are not available for submission in 340B ESP.

Together, these enhancements provide a clearer, more complete picture of the data included in a submission before claims are sent for processing.

Improved Claim Submission

Updated claims submission views will provide additional ways to investigate submission data and identify potential issues before claims are submitted.

Enhancements include:

  • Enhanced Submission Data functionality for reviewing and filtering claims that are eligible for submission to 340B ESP, including a new Inspect tool that allows users to click on individual cells to view detailed field-level data.

  • Enhanced Original File View functionality for reviewing all claims included in the attached file.

  • Improved visibility into validation alerts and file submission statuses to help users understand which claims are ready for submission and which may require additional review.

These tools provide greater flexibility to move from a high-level summary of a submission into the individual claims and data that may need attention.

Submission Receipt

After claims are submitted, a redesigned Submission Receipt will provide a centralized view of submission results and post-submission validation outcomes.

The Submission Receipt will help users review:

  • Conforming, Non-Conforming, and claims with warnings to understand how submitted claims were processed.

  • Issues and warnings identified across processed claims, including counts and their impact across the submission.

  • Covered entities and manufacturers included within the submission.

  • Charts, metrics, and data visualizations that make submission results easier to review and interpret.

These enhancements will make it easier to understand submission results and identify claims that may require additional review.

What's next?

The new claims submission experience will be available in early October. In the meantime, we have published a collection of materials to drill deeper into this functionality.
