New Submission Experience: Submission Receipt

Learn more about the submission receipt including in the new submission experience

Coming in October 2026 as part of the new claims submission experience, the Submission Receipt will provide an immediate view of your submission results after claims are submitted to 340B ESP, making it easier to understand what was processed and identify claims that may require additional review.

Use the Submission Receipt to review overall submission metrics, Conforming and Non-Conforming claims, identified issues and warnings, and claim activity by covered entity. You can also download the receipt and submitted claims for your records.

Submission Receipt

The Submission Receipt brings together the results of your completed submission in a single view. It is organized to provide a high-level summary first, followed by additional detail to help you understand validation results and investigate your submitted claims.

The Submission Receipt includes:

  • Submission Metrics – A high-level summary of the claims processed, including the percentage of Conforming claims and the covered entities, manufacturers, and NDCs represented.

  • Validation Summary – An overview of Conforming and Non-Conforming claims, claims with warnings, and the covered entities and manufacturers included in the submission.

  • Issues & Warnings – Details about validation results identified across processed claims, including the number and percentage of claims associated with each issue or warning.

  • Claims by Covered Entity – A detailed breakdown of submitted claims and validation outcomes by covered entity, manufacturer, product, and NDC.

  • Submission Records – Options to download the submitted claims, including the ESP ID assigned to each processed claim, or save a PDF copy of the Submission Receipt.

Submission Metrics

The top of the Submission Receipt provides a high-level summary of the claims included in the submission.

Metrics include:

  • Processed Rows – The number of claims ingested. This may be different from the number of rows in the attached file if one or more of the rows were missing a required ESP field or contained an NDC not accepted by 340B ESP.

  • % Conforming – The percentage of processed claims with no identified issues.

  • Covered Entities – The number of covered entities represented in the submission.

  • Manufacturers – The number of manufacturers represented in the submission.

  • NDCs – The number of NDCs represented in the submission.

These metrics provide a quick overview of the size and overall validation results of the submission.

Validation Summary

The Validation Summary provides additional information about validation results and the entities included in the submission.

Validation Metrics

Validation metrics include:

  • Conforming – Processed claims with no identified issues.

  • Non-Conforming – Processed claims with one or more identified issues.

  • Claims with Warnings – Processed claims with one or more warnings.

Warnings provide additional information about a claim but do not determine whether the claim is conforming or non-conforming.

Covered Entities & Manufacturers

This section lists the covered entities and manufacturers represented in the submission, along with the total number of each.

Issues & Warnings

The Issues & Warnings section provides additional detail about validation results identified across the submitted claims.

Issues

The Issues section lists validation issues that caused claims to be identified as non-conforming. Each issue type includes the number and percentage of processed claims associated with that issue.

Warnings

The Warnings section lists warnings identified during validation. Each warning type includes the number and percentage of processed claims associated with that warning. Warnings highlight information that may require review but do not currently cause a claim to be identified as non-conforming.

Note: A single claim may be associated with more than one issue or warning. As a result, issue and warning counts may not add up to the total number of processed claims.

Claims by Covered Entity

The Claims by Covered Entity section provides a detailed breakdown of the claims included in the submission for each covered entity.

Use this section to review how claims and validation outcomes are distributed across manufacturers, products, and NDCs associated with each covered entity.

Downloading Submission Records

The Submission Receipt also provides options for saving or reviewing submission records outside of 340B ESP.

  • Download Claims (.csv) – Downloads the submitted claims with the assigned ESP ID included for each processed claim.

  • Download Receipt (.pdf) – Downloads a copy of the Submission Receipt.

Each processed claim is assigned an ESP ID, which can be used as a reference when reviewing or tracking the claim across the 340B ESP platform.
