With Account Identifier Mappings you can add identifiers to pharmacies, so purchases and submitted claims can be linked to the appropriate covered entity account. Accurate identifier mapping supports purchase validation and helps maintain access to manufacturer pricing offers.
Mapping an Identifier
Mapping an identifier creates a request to associate the ID with the selected pharmacy. Use the following steps to add a new and identifier and map it to the appropriate contract pharmacy or CE Pharmacies and Clinics.
Navigate to Purchase Validation.
Click Manage Identifiers to open Account Identifier Mappings.
Filter by the applicable covered entity.
Select the pharmacy group that you would like to add the identifier to from the list of Pharmacy Groups.
Select Add Identifier.
Fill out the required identifier mapping details including:
Identifier Number
Identifier Type
Pharmacy Name
Pharmacy Address
Review the identifier details and click Submit for Approval.
After the request is submitted, it is sent for review. You can use the Mapping Requests tab to monitor the request until it is completed or denied. You will receive an email notification with the decision. If the request is completed, the identifier will be mapped to the selected pharmacy.
Note: An identifier cannot be added to a pharmacy group if it is already mapped to another pharmacy group in 340B ESP. If the identifier is already present elsewhere, it must be transferred through the existing mapping before it can be associated with a different pharmacy group.
